Upon arrival back at the rescue station, with lots of caution, we checked on the kitten. Surprisingly, to our best provision, the kitten had already developed a fever and looked disoriented, though it was producing some strange and clammy sounds, yet still we were hopeful. Under close monitoring, we opted for injecting a mixture of nutrients and milk powder to nurse it back to health. The heat of the nest we made comforted the kitten, and in no time it had the rest it needed.
A Miracle Towards a New Life
By next morning, there was a miracle. The kitten was much stronger, for sure now, and his eyes were clear as he woke up. He could walk more steadily by far – a major indicator of improvement. We immediately prepared a bath for it to remove the last traces of dirt and mud to reveal an attractive, healthy skin underneath.
It was quite the transformation: the once thin and exhausted kitten full of life and hope. We knew that our job was far from complete since the cat still needed a loving home to finally feel the comfort that it deserved and had been denied for so long.
